As a relational integrative therapist, I offer one-to-one in-person, online or walk and talk counselling sessions and tailor my therapeutic approach to your unique emotional and mental health needs and will work collaboratively with you to explore your difficulties and find ways forward together, at a pace that best suits you. I incorporate humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT, mindfulness, and solution focused approaches, within a calm, safe and confidential space.
I am qualified and experienced in counselling young people aged 11-18 years. Counselling sessions are online. I may ask you what’s troubling you and we may set some goals, so that you can make the most of your sessions. I will use different approaches e.g. talking, interactive, creative (art, sandtray, poetry), cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma informed and grounding techniques and depending on what you need, I may help you to develop some coping techniques. Young people often say that they find my approach caring and helpful.
I offer individual supervision either in person, or online in a supportive, non-judgmental and reflective environment where practitioners can discuss their clinical cases, any concerns, ethical dilemmas and receive feedback. This could be to supervise your clinical work with adults, or young people. I integrate a number of models into my supervisory approach, including the Seven-eyed model (Hawkins and Shohet) and fulfil the normative, formative and restorative tasks of supervision (Inskip and Proctor and Carroll). I may also integrate some creative approaches.
I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone conversation. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your counselling needs and for you to ask any questions you may have about counselling. If you then wish to book a first session, that is 50 minutes and charged at either my standard or concessionary rate (depending on your financial situation).
